Review - "We spent 16 days traveling all over Alaska and this was hands-down our favorite place. I have never, ever seen such clean, inviting cabins! I am such a clean freak that I bring our own sheets no matter how expensive the hotel, but in this place I was completely comfortable. When we arrived the cabin was pre-heated and the lights on for us. The shower was sparkling clean with nice fluffy towels and a heat lamp. We stayed in the Bush Pilot room, and it was decorated well without being cutesy. The bed was very comfortable and there was a cool guest log and it looks like In the morning the owner made us Belgian waffles, coffee, juice, eggs and homemade berry jams (included in the room price). We could take a tray back to our room but we chose to sit in the breakfeast nook with her while she told us great stories of homesteading and raising sled dogs. The rest of staff too was crazy helpful, and the grounds were really interesting with exhibits everywhere. The gift shop was full of a diverse collection and seriously reasonable prices and we got a lot of our gift shopping done there. We saw some of the best prices for local arts there. We bought a sled dog harness and got advice on how to begin running dogs (the owners ran and finished the first Iditarod). It was truly a highlight of a really extensive, wonderful exploration of Alaska! We will for sure go back the next trip."

The hotel has very nice and clean rooms that have internet access via wireless or the lobby computer which is very handy. They have GREAT customer service and a very friendly staff. It is a nice and quiet environment with great summer action around town that the hotel helps set up for you. There is also a wonderful restaurant the serves great pizza right out front, in walking distance. We will continue to stay at the Caribou Hotel for all of our monthly visits to Glennallen. "

As a life long Alaskan who has spent time in about every hotel/motel in the area I select the Valdez B&B over all the other places to stay in Valdez. I go back to 1952. Over the last decade or so I have had nothing but positive experiences with this B&B. The reason I am familiar with places to stay in Valdez is because it is one of two closest supply areas for me during the summer season which I spend in the Wrangell Mountains. In case you doubt my creditability, at least as far as connections with this enterprise go, I know nothing about the owners other than to have met the old boy who owns the joint on a number of my visits."

Review - "A good overall stay. This is classed as a motel but you cannot get you car to the door of the room. However this is a popular motel with business travellers which is a good sign. I arrived at 1pm out of main season and got the last of 50 rooms. Its attractions are that it is only 12 miles from Denali NP, has small but clean rooms with large bathrooms ,large tv and wireless internet, all for around $70. Its restaurant has attracted adverse comment in the past which I can understand.It is quirky but the food is ok. You have to enter thru the bar and if you want a drink with meal you have to sit in a seperate area and get the drink yourself from the bar! This is also a smoking area. A smoke free meal with a glass of wine is not possible. This seems strange but then I am English The reception is laid back; not sure if we have a room but friendly. I would stay again."

They have a laundromat on premises which is great since we were on a 17 day trip. The room needed new carpet and updated bathroom, but clean and for the price it was just fine. Nice staff and very accomodating and efficient. Great location for walking anywhere in the town...and away from the touristy/cruise ship area. Its a bargain.”

Review - "This hotel is a very economical option in Rochester and is connected to the Mayo clinic by the underground walkway which is very convenient if you are going there. The room was very clean, especially the bathroom which is a stckler for me. There is also a small, empty refrigerator in the room which was left open and left a slight smell in the room. An ironing board and iron is not available in the room and there is no option for movies. Of course no room service but lots of restaurants close by. There is an interesting notice left on the bathroom sink that asks the guest to use the supplied "rag" for removing make-up or cleaning up dirty things rather than using the good linens (which are OK but postage stamp size.) Would recommend with caveats."

Review - "I am a Choice, Hilton and Holiday Inn Gold Traveler and these are my lodging preferences. I was booked here (by a client) for a conference and thus had no choice. The conference room was large and very suitable. The hotel is old but the location is good. The rooms have been remodeled and the mattresses/bedspreads appear to be new. The shower is modern with a curved rod and updated shower head. They offer FREE breakfast (full) and 20% off on meals in the restaurant...which was fine. The TV was new and clear. I did not feel unsafe or worried during my stay as a single woman. They do not have a working key card entrance in the back door but this town is not too large, so it did not bother me....if it were the city then perhaps I would be concerned! I would not choose this location over the Holiday Inn Express (down the street) but it was comfortable, clean and quiet. The pool was clean and seemed to be a draw for families. I try to stay in the chains where I have attained status (for reward points) but this location was fine for those who are just looking for an overnight or two."

In the back, the view is of the valley and Cove Mountain. It is located less than 2 miles from the entrance of the park via Hwy 321 (Wears Valley Rd) and Lyon Spring Rd thru Metcalf Bottoms. It is located pretty much in the center of the activities of Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Townsend, and Cades Cove. Many mornings you can look into the mountains and see why they are called the Smokies.

Review - "Having a hotel in the towm main avenue is pretty convinient. For business a solo travel is a good option, just small step for good restaurants a excellent tea.
Cleaness was good and the best was the pillow, soft, clean and confortable.
Linen and douvet quiet old, may need refreshment, washroon very clean but outdate.
The hotel is under renovation, so I expect they will improve the facilities.
Front desk was not available and I wait 1/2 hr to get my luggage.
For business solo people I would recommended

My husband and myself do a lot of travel and always stay in nice hotels never been to a b and b’s but after reading previous reviews thought we should go. I’ve always been concerned about not having privacy and feeling like you’re in someone’s home but this was not the case at all at the hopeless romantic.
We arrived and were greeted with open arms by Leagh the owner and operator of the b and b. She went above and beyond with everything from giving us numbers for spa and suggestions for car rentals and wineries to visit the list goes on and on. She was very professional and wanted make sure we felt comfortable and felt like we had our privacy and would not disturb us."

Review - "I've stayed at the Parktown a few times, for both business and a friend's wedding. I like the price when I'm footing the bill, and I've enjoyed it enough to go back on the company's dime. It's in a good location, very reasonably priced and offers everything you need in a hotel. I've always had good service when I stayed there. Saskatoon doesn't have a great variety of hotels, and until I hear different from the locals, I'll continue to stay at the Parktown. It's not spectacular or a 5 star property, but it gets the job done."

Review - "September 9 and 10, 2006, my wife and I stayed at Bombay Peggy's "Hotel." This small, gold-rush brothel themed hotel was authentically appointed with rich reds and greens in the carpets, walls and drapes. (Pics are at bombaypeggys.com) Our room, the "Sweet, which we chose because we failed to make timely reservations for a smaller room, was spacious, with two queen beds and acres of space within which to fit the table, wet bar, television, and refrigerator. The pedastal sink, slipper tub with a 7 inch rain showerhead, and wooden toilet seat lent an authentic old fashioned air to the bathroom. "
